We arrived at 8pm on Friday (Sept 12th) and were greeted by Cameron, Cathy and another young man, all were so welcoming, helpful and really couldn’t have done more to help. Cameron in particular remained on hand for the weekend, always offering a “hello” and “how are you Mike”, recommendations for walks and other local attractions. The park itself is lovely, backing onto a beautiful river beside which runs the West Highland Way, apparently the Park is almost exactly halfway along the trek. We “panned” for gold in the river and were gobsmacked to actually find some…seriously, the kids loved it! Lovely tall pine trees flank the park and wooden huts/yurts are interspersed throughout the park. Toilet facilities are very clean, can’t fault them. It makes all the difference when you have helpful and friendly staff on site, Cameron and the team at Pine Trees…great service, thanks. Mike
Stayed for a few nights in one of the luxury huts. Very nice if you don’t fancy the tent. The park was absolutely spotless, so well maintained it was perfect with excellent facilities. Wonderful people running the place, nothing was too much bother, extremely accommodating. Will return next year with the children without a doubt. Book in now, you will not be disappointed!
We hired a luxury hiker hut for our family of three (including a toddler). It was extremely clean and had the convenience of a microwave, heater, kettle and even a TV! I’ve had experience of a few campsites when we walked the West Highland way a few years ago and thought the standard of Pinetrees really stood out. I used the toilet and shower block regularly around the clock and it was always clean. The showers were very clean and new-looking too. The park is very well landscaped and tastefully set out so it fits in well with the beautiful natural surroundings. There was access to drinking water behind every hut and at each caravan space and there were washing up and laundry facilities. Very impressed. We would definitely come back again. Slight complaint were that the mattresses were a little uncomfortable (hard springs and plastic covers – the latter obviously necessary though). I hardly noticed it by the second night and it’s nothing a camping mat wouldn’t sort out.
